In Cyrillic in pencil on the bottom left "N 16 taking the Winter". On the reverse side is the inscription in Cyrillic in pencil "taking of the Winter Palace" and in blue
ballpoint pen "P. Williams".
At the lower right corner, the tear is 2 cm. The corner is jammed. Pin marks. On the reverse side in the two upper corners are traces of glue - the work was glued to a modern paper passepartout.
