Lacuna. The grasp for the golden stars.

The work is based on a street interaction with the banana sprayer Thomas Baumgärtel in Berlin. It refers to a time, when the banana was a symbol for prosperity and wealth in the former German GDR. That's why the banana is painted in gold. Another theme of the image is also the ambition for recognition and success of artists. That's why the banana is created on basis of an image by Andy Warhol.
