On June 25th we held our first Militaria auction in Berlin, where more than 60% of the lots were sold. The catalogue presented rare objects of phaleristics, graphics and books on militaria, weapons, uniforms and equipment.
Lot Nr. 109 - Badge of the Imperial Don's Cadet Corps. Hammer price: 5500 EUR.
Lot Nr. 110 - Badge on graduation from the Imperial Military Medical Academy, in the name of G.I. Girsh, personal physician of Emperors Alexander III and Nicholas II. Hammer price: 3200 EUR.
A special section of the auction, which interested many collectors, presented rarities and unique objects of the Romanovs' family - autographs, photographs, private documents, uniforms connected with the Russian imperial family.
Lot 151 - Postcard with autographs of the four Princesses - Olga, Tatjana, Maria und Anastasia Romanovs. Hammer price: 14.000 EUR.
Lot 146 - Text of the telegram, written by Tsar Alexander II. Hammer price: 146 EUR.
In 2008 the auction house Kabinett in Moscow was able to achieve a record price of 1 million USD for the sale of the rare star of the Order of St. Catherine (Grand Cross).
Our next Berlin Auction No. 14 “Russian History and Militaria. Romanov's Family Memorabilia” will be held in October 2020, for which we welcome your proposals from today.
