Nikolai Nikolaevich the Elder (1831-1891) - Grand Duke, the third son of Emperor Nicholas I. Field-Marshal-General (1878), honorary member of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences (1855). In 1864-1880 he was chief commander of guard troops and the St. Petersburg Military District. In 1864-1891, he was Inspector-General of Cavalry.

Grand Duchess Alexandra Petrovna (Alexandra Frederica Wilhelmina, 1838-1900) - wife of Grand Duke Nikolai Nikolayevich, son of Emperor Nicholas I, daughter of Prince Peter Georg of Oldenburg and Princess Therese of Nassau.
