The badge belonged to the direct combat commander of the poet Nikolay Gumilyov. Gumilyov served in the 4th squadron of the 5th Alexandria Hussar Regiment under the command of Lieutenant Colonel A. Radetsky from April 10, 1916, after receiving the rank of ensign.
