Aljoscha Blau was born 1972 in Leningrad, Russia, graduated from HAW in Hamburg in Illustration and Graphic Arts and has been working ever since as illustrator for German and international publishers. Honoured with numerous awards such as German Design Award, Bologna Ragazzi Award, Prix Figure Future, Troisdorfer Bilderbuchpreis, Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis, et al. Nominated for Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award. Alongside illustration teaching assignments and workshops at Art Academies in Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy and France. Lives in Berlin.
